EDUCATION

Jennifer graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2013, she earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern Medical Center, expanding her expertise in the critical role nutrition plays in preventing and managing chronic diseases, including cardiovascular conditions. After more than 16 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, she returned to Texas Woman’s University to complete her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her combined background in nursing, clinical nutrition, and primary care provides a comprehensive foundation for supporting heart health and chronic disease management at Modern Heart & Vascular Institute.

APPROACH TO MEDICINE

Jennifer is passionate about helping patients understand their cardiovascular health and empowering them to take an active role in prevention and long-term wellness. Her approach emphasizes education, personalized treatment plans, and evidence-based strategies to manage conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol, and other heart-related concerns. By building strong, trusting relationships, she partners with patients across Houston and surrounding communities to improve outcomes and enhance quality of life.

PERSONAL LIFE

Outside of caring for patients, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and their fur babies. She values staying physically active, enjoying family outings at the lake, and expressing creativity through craft projects.
